I love making nutrient dense shaker bottles. They are easy to prepare, don't require a high-speed blender and don't contain any sweeteners (except for what's added to your protein powder - like stevia). Best part they are so delicious. Here is the recipe...
1 cup non-dairy beverage - unsweetened
1 cup coconut water
1-2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp healthy fat (coconut oil, flax oil, hemp oil, unrefined sesame oil, vegan DHA)
1 tsp each of superfoods - I used activated charcoal and baobob (here are a few more options - maca, spirulina, chlorella, cinnamon, acai/goji/pomegranate powder, etc)
1 scoop protein powder
a few ice cubes
Shake it up and enjoy!
